Abstract:
Nowadays, there are different emerging technologies that can help teachers engage their students in diverse teaching and learning activities.
However, the technologies vary in terms of their characteristics. It is critical to understand these distinctions so that we can make the best use of these technologies to improve our students' learning efficiency and effectiveness.
In this briefing session, we would like to introduce the differences between 360-degree Video, Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), Mixed Reality (MR) and Virtual Space (a.k.a. Metaverse). How do they differ in terms of design and development process? And what are their constraints?
